Woody’s Veggie Stack Sandwich

Woody’s Pizza & Watering Hole does have more than pizza. They have some sandwiches that are hit or miss, but more often than not, they are a hit. I mean, they are not sandwich specialists by any means, but they do have a variety of breads, some good insides and veggies, and a limited selection of sauces and dressings.

Emily and I were there a couple of weeks ago, and I really did not feel like eating pizza. I hadn’t really eaten anything but meat over the holiday weekend, and I had a craving for veggies…

This sandwich was pretty basic, nothing too amazing, but it was just what I needed. It is a veggie stack of cucumbers, sprouts, avocado, tomato, Portabella, dijon and fontina cheese on a whole grain bread. I added in some mozzarella as well, and got it with french fries. I added a little bit of bbq sauce and cholulah and it was pretty tasty. I would have liked to have it with some grilled veggies or something instead of fries, but hey… what are you going to do.

Sorry this post was so boring…
